Prospectus
Te Whānau o Ōtūmatua is a small co-ed, specialist short-term intervention with highly trained professionals dedicated to working with ākonga with intellectual impairments and complex needs.
Positive, supportive relationships between staff and students form the basis for learning. Both staff and students are encouraged to be enthusiastic, reflective and resilient as they work towards being the best they can be.
This unique setting provides common experience, camaraderie, friendship and trust between children and adults. Because they are surrounded by students learning similar skills, they often claim this is the first time they feel like they ‘fit in’.
